Product Overview
The XGN2-12 fixed type AC metal-enclosed switchgear (hereinafter referred to as "switchgear") is an indoor complete set of distribution equipment for three-phase AC 50Hz systems with rated voltage of 3.6~12kV. It is used for receiving and distributing electrical energy, as well as controlling, protecting and monitoring circuits. The bus system adopts single-busbar configuration, which can also be derived into single-busbar with bypass and dual-busbar structures. This product has been successfully applied in projects such as the Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), demonstrating its reliable performance in demanding research facility environments.

Unlike withdrawable (middle-mounted) switchgear, the XGN2-12 features fixed installation of circuit breakers, offering lower manufacturing costs and more economical pricing, making it an ideal choice for projects with budget constraints.
Compact Structure, Space-Saving
The cabinet adopts a metal-enclosed box-type structure. The busbars are arranged in a triangular pattern in the rear upper part of the cabinet, effectively reducing overall cabinet height. Its volume is approximately 50% of conventional switchgear, saving valuable floor space in distribution rooms.
Complete "Five-Prevention" Mechanical Interlocking
The switchgear is equipped with a reliable mechanical interlocking system achieving full "five-prevention" functions: preventing incorrect opening/closing of circuit breakers, preventing opening/closing of disconnectors under load, preventing closing of earthing switch when live, preventing power transmission when earthing switch is closed, and preventing accidental entry into live compartments.
Separate Compartments for Enhanced Safety
The cabinet is divided into four independent compartments: circuit breaker compartment, busbar compartment, cable compartment, and relay compartment, separated by steel plates. A pressure relief channel is provided in the circuit breaker compartment, ensuring rapid pressure release in case of internal arcing to protect personnel safety.
Air Insulation, High Dielectric Strength
No composite insulation panels are used between phases or between phase and ground. The air insulation distance between phases and between phase and ground is ≥125mm. Large creepage distance support insulators are used, providing high insulation strength and excellent insulation stability, suitable for condensation-prone and polluted environments.
Flexible Configuration & Strong Compatibility
Main circuit breakers can be equipped with ZN28A-12, ZN63A-12, VS1-12 series vacuum circuit breakers, or international brands such as Siemens and ABB upon request. Disconnectors adopt GN30-10 rotary type or GN22-10 high-current type. The operating mechanism can be electromagnetic type (CD series) or spring energy storage type (CT series), offering flexible options to meet various user requirements.
Dual-Side Maintenance
The switchgear supports dual-side maintenance: front side for inspecting relay compartment components, operating mechanism, and circuit breaker; rear side for servicing main busbars and cable terminals. Illumination lamps are installed in both circuit breaker and cable compartments for convenient maintenance.
