The XGN15-12 (also known as HXGN15-12) modular SF6 ring main unit (RMU) is a new generation of metal-enclosed switchgear with SF6 load break switch as the main switching device, while the entire cabinet adopts air insulation. It is suitable for power distribution automation with compact and expandable features. The RMU is equipped with "Make-Break-Earth" three-position load break switch with reliable interlocking, high insulation strength at the breaking gap, and large creepage distance design. The load break switch is a three-position (Make-Break-Earth) type with excellent electrical and mechanical properties, minimally affected by environment and climate. The switchgear adopts unit-type modular design with expandable configuration. The cabinet is assembled using imported aluminum-zinc coated steel sheets processed by high-precision CNC equipment, featuring small footprint, light weight, and flexible installation. The volume is significantly smaller than conventional switchgear, saving valuable floor space-33.
Three-Position Load Break Switch with "Five-Prevention" Interlocking
Equipped with integrated three-position load break switch (Make-Break-Earth) with reliable mechanical interlocking achieving full "five-prevention" functions: preventing opening/closing of main switch under load, preventing accidental entry into live compartments, preventing incorrect opening/closing of main switch, preventing closing of earthing switch when live, and preventing power transmission when earthing switch is in the closed position. The RMU can be composed of various functional modules including load switch unit (C-unit), load switch-fuse combination electrical unit (F-unit), vacuum circuit breaker unit (V-unit/CB-unit), and busbar incoming unit.
